City believe in the process – McAllister

first_imgCity found a way through the Bees at the weekend, courtesy of Niclas Eliasson’s 89th-minute volley, to get the side back to winning ways. Now the Robins have a chance to close the gap further on those teams above them when they host Nigel Adkins’ Tigers this week. But assistant head coach McAllister knows the task is not an easy one, despite Hull’s slow start to the season.“The win helps to give the lads that belief. The process is right so we know it’s only a matter of time before the results come,” he told BCTV.“It was great to get that win on Saturday so it gives us the extra belief and confidence going into Wednesday night, knowing that the process is working.“It won’t be an easy test, even with Hull in the bottom three. Nigel Adkins’ sides are well organised and tough to beat. There were a lot of goals in this fixture last year (3-2 win and a 5-5 draw) so we’ll take another 1-0 win on Wednesday.“I wouldn’t like to see another 5-5, I’ll take the 5-4,” he joked. “No, we have to focus on us, do the basics well, make sure we are organised, stick to the game plan and the lads believe in the process. We go into the game with confidence from Saturday and another win will be nice.”Injury updateNiki Mäenpää: participating in gym sessions – one-two weeks awayCallum O’Dowd: assessments continueNathan Baker: being monitored daily after knock sustained against BrentfordCity v Hull – secure your ticketslast_img read more
