SAN Fernando Valley residents have been complaining for years about being excluded from citywide events such as the Los Angeles Marathon. Next year, the marathon will finally include the Valley, thanks to a major redrawing of the course to begin at Universal City and end downtown. As an important part of the city, it’s appropriate that the world-famous race involve the Valley. And the point-to-point course will make race day much more convenient for all.
