India vs South Africa: India set a 308 run target for South Africa

first_imgShikhar Dhawan and Ajinkye Rahane powered India to a score of 307/7 in a match which was held  at the MCG ,Cricket ground.The Indian innings started slowly as Rohit Sharma was dismissed for a duck but Kohli and Dhawan held together the innings by sharing a 127 run stand, with Kohli scoring 46 runs of 60 balls before being caught by Tahir.  Ajinkye Rahane stepped on to the pitch and  along with Shikhar Dhawan shared a 125 run stand in 99 balls. He scored a quick fired 79 of 60 balls before being adjudged leg before the wicket by a Dale Steyn Deliver.Apart from two big partnerships the tailenders couldn’t continue the onslaught and lost their wickets cheaply, Dhoni in the end did smash three boundaries consecutively and scored 18 runs of 11 balls before being caught behind the wicket by De Kock on a Morne Morkel delivery. As per the latest reports the South African innings are underway and they have lost their first wicket in Q de Kock who scored 7 runs of 15 balls. The South African score cards reads as 108/3 in 23 overs with D Milller and F du Plessis on the crease.last_img
